COME JOIN THE PARADE!!
Once again, AIM will be marching in the Montclair Fourth of July Parade.
The parade takes place rain or shine and starts at 11am at the corner of South Fullerton and Bloomfield Avenues. The route proceeds for 1.6 miles from Bloomfield, to Midland, to Watchung Avenues to Valley Road --- and ends after passing the reviewing stand at Edgemont Park.
Since “Seniors” are the Grand Marshals, this year we will be at the front of the parade, after the antique cars, flags, and town officials. The 4th of July Committee is arranging for a float (or maybe two) to accommodate representatives from the four senior groups being honored. If you would like to be on the float, let Adriana O’Toole know. We do not yet know how many spaces will be allotted for the four groups. We have two convertibles so far, and would love a few others so we can provide more seats.
Walkers would be appreciated too. 25% of Montclair residents are Seniors, and we can make that evident by a strong presence at the parade. There will be food trucks and a picnic area at the park at the end of the parade.
Details are still being finalized so check the AIM website for last-minute information.
Please call Adriana O'Toole at (973 650-6039) with any questions.
